Kernow Weather Team was founded in February 2017 as a small, friendly, and independently run not-for-profit team with a passion for Cornish weather. Our mission is to provide accurate daily weather forecasts, weather warnings, travel updates, and coverage of worldwide weather events—all tailored to keep you informed and prepared. 

As they say, "From small acorns, oak trees grow." In our case, it’s more like, "from small cloudlets a storm will grow"—and grow it did! What started as a small initiative has turned into a mammoth storm of information, relied upon by many, and it continues to expand every day. 

Our team is made up of ordinary people from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, united by a shared love for weather and a strong sense of community. We’re a close-knit group with a fun sense of humor—because if you can’t laugh, you might cry! 

We strive to bring relevant and interesting information to the local community and media outlets, ensuring everyone has access to the updates they need.
